Bushwalking with a camera, Churchman's Brook.

It's winter in Western Australia which means it's warm, not oven hot. It's a good time to go exploring the bush and get lost a little. The soil is rusty-red and it's not difficult to find clumps of iron ore lying about. The other striking thing about Australian outback are fires. It seems like every place has either been on fire or is ready for one. I think this is how this Kangaroo met his end. The bones were scattered on the verge of rocky outcrop - I think the herd was running in panic and two of them broke legs while trying to navigate the stones and boulders.
